Descenders is a downhill mountain biking game. The goal is to get to the bottom of the mountain as fast as possible while avoiding obstacles. To do so, the player must quickly control the bike, left and right, and use the bike's momentum and bunny hops to move through the level.

Be aware of your surroundings

Keep an eye on the ground below to avoid obstacles and find items.
Keep an eye on the sky to avoid falling objects.
Keep an ear open for sounds like beings, to avoid them and gather the items they drop on occasion.
The magnifying glass in the bottom right corner can be used to identify items.

Gather as many items as possible

Items are your only way to rank up and purchase new characters.
Avoid the obstacles and collect as many items as possible to get the highest rank.
Don’t worry about the rank, just collect as many items as possible.

Each game you play will have a completely different layout, so ranking up from one game to the next doesn’t really have any effect.
Focus on getting as many points as possible to unlock new characters.
